Our Mission To exhibit the love of Our Lord Jesus Christ as we instruct inmates in basic Christian principles, so that souls many be saved and discipleship may begin. Who We Are South Texas Prison Outreach (S.T.P.O.) is a locally based, interdenominational organization composed of Christian men and women who share a common desire to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the prisons of America. What We Believe The apparent inability of our prison system to rehabilitate inmates creates a “revolving door” effect which concerns us greatly. We believe that effective rehabilitation of inmates can only begin when a spiritual change has been accomplished through Jesus Christ. We believe that God is the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and earth: and that Jesus Christ is His only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered and was crucified, dead and buried; the third day He rose again from the dead, He ascended into heaven and sits on the right hand of God. We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. “He (the Lord)
forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases: He redeems my life from
the pit and crowns me with love and compassion.” Psalm 103:3-4 What You Can Do PRAY for S.T.P.O.
and the prisoners the Lord places us with. PARTICIPATE with us,
if you share our burden for inmates. |
